When you are getting a divorce and there are children involved, it is important to be careful how you react in front of the children.  After you tell them what is going on and explaining to them that they are still loved by both parents, you do not want to upset them in any way.  You need to make sure that the children are feeling safe and secure knowing that both parents love them.

You should never have a fight in front of the children with the other parent.  This will be very disturbing to the children and may cause them to be fearful of what may happen in the future.  You should not speak in a bad way about the other parent as well.  You have to be very careful not to call the other parent names or talk bad about any thing that they have done.

Never keep the children away from the other parent unless they are in danger of anything.  You should let the children see the parent when they feel the need to.  Let them know that they can call them anytime and you will be happy to drive them to see you’re soon to ex spouse’s residence any time that they want.

You never want to distance yourself from your children.  You have to keep up your responsibly of being a parent.  You need to communicate with your child and be a good parent.  It is a hard time and can be very depressing for a lot of adults.  It is important to keep up your strength both physically and emotionally for the children’s sake.

Do not try and buy the child’s affection with gifts and money.  You need to spend time with them and let them know that they are the most important things right now.  You need to keep all of your promises to them and do not abandon them for any reason. If you say that you are going to be there is a certain time, you need to be there.

If you think that the child needs to have therapy, you should make the necessary arrangements. Do you feel your child needs to talk to someone, if they need to talk to a professional let them, as this is going to help a child in the long run.  It is crucial to the children to be able to discuss their feeling and to be reassured that they have nothing to worry about concerning the divorce.  It is nothing to be ashamed of and the child should be made to feel comfortable about all that is going on around them.

What advice would you give to a woman about to start a divorce?

This is for everyone who has been through a divorce.
I am going to court to file for divorce this week.I need all the help and advice i can get.Thanks.
no i do not have a lawyer.
I can’t afford it since he spent all the money we had.

Answer
Be firm but fair, especially if there are children. Expect the worst from him but hope for the best. Don’t beat yourself up. He who is without sin….Get into counseling or self help books or anything that will help you discover what happened, how much of it was your responsibility and learn your lesson of how to not repeat the same mistake again. Do not be desperate for another relationship. Take time to chill with yourself. Learn about yourself and learn to love yourself, which is hard to do when you go thru this sort of thing. Don’t give up on the idea of marriage and love. Cry, if you need to. If you just want to. When you are dividing things up, ask yourself what things are really worth the energy fighting about. Most things are not. Most of the things you will fight about are replaceable. Children are not. Never give up the fight for your kids if you think you are the best choice for them. And never use the kids as weapons. Your kids will know and it will come back to bite you later. Hang in there. Unfortunately, you don’t really know who you married until you divorce them.

Tennessee Divorce Advice Please!?

Is there a place to call in Tennessee for advice on a divorce for someone who really cannot afford one? This person has been married 1 1/2 years and is being totally railroaded by controlling husband. Money is an issue for her.
To be clear, she has a job and would probably be considered to make too much for free legal help, but still does not have enough for the divorce fees.

Answer
If she just wants out and isn’t trying to fight for anything she can go to the court house, get the papers and file herself. I believe it costs about $65 for the forms and to file. Call the court house or go in and check. She can also call for a free consultaion with an attorney and she can see if the attorney feels as though it is worth filing and having him pay her court costs and attorney fees. Best of luck sweetie.

Love Relationship Advice To Help Save A Relationship

4780359027 14b00cee82 m Love Relationship Advice To Help Save A Relationship

Treasuring a marriage or not willing to give up a relationship which you have been in a long time? You definitely need a good love relationship advice to help you get out of this problem. You may have come across many books or getting advices from friends and relatives. However, these advices may not get you anywhere to help you resolve your relationship problem. Below are some points that you may be interested to keep the relationship afloat.

Be Honest And Understanding

The best love relationship advice is first to be honest with your partner and accept what he/she is. You need to know and recognize the fact that in a relationship, whatever problems and difficulties that arise should be the responsibility of the both of you and should be equally shared. If you make any mistakes in the relationship, be brave enough to own up, as there is always some truth when your partner complains something bad about you. You have to put yourself in the shoe of your partner that if you want him/her to change, you also need to be understanding if he/she need you to change certain things too.

Compromises And Sacrifices In A Relationship

The next love relationship advice is that relationship comes with sacrifices and compromises. No one is meant to be perfectly compatible with each other when both first met. There are bound to be some arguments when in a relationship as each have their own opinions at times. This is normal in a relationship and it is only through these arguments and constant changing of each other to help make the relationship grow into a better and stronger one. Therefore, instead of constantly quarreling and not giving in to each other at times, it is important that both of you have to make compromises and make adjustments if you truly love each other and want the relationship to develop into a stronger and loving one.

Changing Your Perception Of Things In A relationship

The next most important love relationship advice is to change your perception on certain things in a relationship. If your partner wants you to change certain behavior, if you look at things at a different angle, such suggestion can be a good thing for you and if you accept it, it can mean a better improvement for you and hence not affecting the relationship. However, if you look it at a different perception, you may take it as an offense and there will be arguments and you may end up with a sour relationship. Therefore, it is important to change your perception related to a relationship when handling any kind of conflict that both of you may face.

Do Not Be Too Petty

The next love relationship advice is that after solving a relationship issue, you should move on and not dwell on it again. The most important thing is not to hold grudges against each other. When you have arguments again, do not bring anything up again from the past, as it will aggravate the matter furthermore. Certain things need to be let go after it has already happened and should never be brought up again as it will never be healthy for a relationship development.

Above are just some Love Relationship Advice that you can take note of. If you need more information, check out the link Online Relationship Advice today.

What are your thoughts on this relationship advice?

So, I was listening to the radio and they were saying if you are over the age of 25 and you have been dating someone for 2 years and you haven’t gotten a proposal yet to be married that you should end the relationship and move on. What are your thoughts on that?

Answer
That is the stupidest thing i have heard. It depends on the relationship.

4598926235 3214c26577 m Love Relationship Advice

Love relationship advice is sought after by many.

For most people, it’s pretty easy to find love.  The challenge often seems to be to be able to make it last.

Keeping your love for each other strong is not impossible.  You just have to understand why it falls apart and make sure you, and your partner, avoid those traps.  That’s where love relationship advice comes in handy.

With the advent of online dating sites there are more ways than ever to meet ‘the one’.  It’s a much better method than cruising the bar scene looking for someone special.  For most couples the first few months is pretty easy.  You are falling in love and you think the other person is perfect.  You can see no wrong in them or what they do.  And maybe there isn’t anything wrong with the way they, or you, act in the early stages of a relationship.

They say that familiarity breeds contempt and if that’s true it would go a long way to explaining why the longer a relationship goes on the more it tends to break down.

Here is a list of some of the things you, and your partner, need to be on the lookout for in your relationship.  These are common traps that many couples fall into without realizing it.  If you know what to watch out for and can avoid these mistakes you will have a much better chance of keeping your relationship strong and healthy for a long time:

1. Unrealistic expectations.  As I said above we think our new love can do no wrong.  As our relationship slowly changes from falling in love to being in love and all the day to day stresses and mundane tasks we must face, it’s easy to lose some of that early ‘glow’.  This can be a pivotal time in many relationships, sometimes the couple will think that they just don’t love each other anymore and break up.

In reality, in any long term relationship, you will spend a much longer time in this ‘normal’ mode than you will in the early ‘glow’ mode.  It’s important to recognize that this is all a normal progression in an adult relationship.

2. Inability to effectively communicate.  Men and women express themselves differently…that’s just the way it is.  The good news is that you can learn to communicate with your partner effectively, if you’re willing to take some time to learn how. The whole ‘it’s a guy thing’ or ‘it’s a girl thing’ is only true to a point, and is largely just a cop out.  In reality any mature, intelligent adult should be able to learn how to talk to their partner, and even more importantly, listen to their partner.  The real question is do you care enough about your partner and the relationship to take the time?

3.  Don’t confuse sex with love.  This may sound obvious but men and women tend to look at sex in different ways.  Women, for example, tend to look at sex as a way to connect with someone they love on a deeper physical level.  Yes, it’s pleasurable, but the pleasure isn’t just physical it’s emotional as well.

Men tend to look at sex as definition of who they are as a man.  For them too, it’s pleasurable but it’s also a way to prove their desirability and masculinity.  Sometimes when a relationship gets to the ‘comfortable’ stage this difference in views about sex can create problems.  If one partner doesn’t seem sexually interested in the other partner it can create severe stress on the relationship.

If your relationship gets to this point, it might help if you and your partner can remember that sex is only one small component of every thing your relationship is made up of.  While for many couples, having an active sex life is an important part of the relationship, it’s important to understand that as you age and your relationship grows, it probably won’t be  quite as important as it once was. That doesn’t mean your partner doesn’t love you or find you attractive, it’s just a fairly common way for long term relationships to go.

I hope this love relationship advice will help you hold on to the love you’ve found.

Being able to make a deep, long lasting, connection with another person really is one of life’s blessings.  Make your connection last by learning how to avoid the pitfalls of some relationships… which could lead to this.

Need to sell house due to divorce, I need advice…?

I am in the process of getting a divorce and neither one of us can afford the house payments on our own. We are considering a quick/short sale but I’m concerned my credit report will be affected negatively. I need advice on what is the quickest and best way to get this house of my hands. I don’t want to deal with the hassle of renters.

Answer
First, you need to know the fair market value of your home, so contact an agent who will provide a CMA. Few will charge for this service.

If you have equity, you’ll need to price the home as low as possible to get out of it. Or you can advertise your home to local investors who will offer you a wholesale price but they should be able to close in a few days depending on where the house is located. If you don’t have equity, then contact your lender and explain the situation. If you’re not behind on payments but expect you will be soon, let the lender know. If you’re already behind, contact an agent/broker/investor experienced in short sales, but not just any agent/broker/investor who claims to be an expert in short sales, someone who really understands the process, forms, time frames, etc.

One thing to remember here. “Short sales” are not quick and your credit will definitely suffer. No way around either of these two facts.

Love Relationship Advice 3 Common Traps to Avoid For A Healthy Long Term Relationship

4764479735 fccc0cc0ab m Love Relationship Advice 3 Common Traps to Avoid For A Healthy Long Term Relationship

Love relationship advice is for those who found someone to love but find it tough to keep that love alive. Finding someone to love is not always easy, witness the tremendous growth in online dating sites designed to make finding love easier; but to maintain the relationship is where the real work comes in.

Whether you found your love interest at a church social, an online venue, or by cruising the bar scene, that someone special caught your eye and you were intrigued enough to find out more about him or her.

Chances are that the two of you were putting your “best foot forward” as they say in your appearance and behavior while you were getting to know each other. Over time, it is not only difficult to always be looking and acting your best, but the familiarity of the relationship can even breed boredom.

Couples who wish to maintain the relationship need to connect on a more sincere level than just the superficial beginnings of your meet up and dating. This love relationship advice is geared toward transitioning into a long term, happy and rewarding relationship for both of you.

There are many pitfalls you can encounter as your relationship progresses, and this usually happens slowly enough that you do not even realize it is happening. Knowing what to watch out for can help you avoid them.

Here are 3 common traps you want to avoid so you can maintain the spark and attraction between you.

1) Having unrealistic expectations of your mate. When you first meet you really do not know that much about the other person, but if you are attracted to them give them credit for being “perfect” – innocent until proven guilty, you might say.

Over time you learn their foibles and short comings that everyone has and some of these will annoy you. It may even anger you that he or she is not perfect like you hoped.

You need to understand that as they forgive your imperfections, you need to forgive theirs. Work on your own character flaws for both your benefit and theirs, certainly. Do not be more critical of them than you want them to be of you.

2) Not communicating effectively. Everyone is wired differently on this, and certainly men differently than women. There is going to have to be give and take; you both may even need to expand your comfort zone in how you express your feelings.

Do not be afraid to talk about your feelings with your partner, especially if something is bothering you enough that it is interfering with your relationship; even making you consider break up.

Always do so in an non confrontational manner and maintain your cool, even if he or she does not.

3) Mistaking sex for love. Over time you will find the physical side of the relationship at odds with the emotional side. They are not the same. Some make the mistake of thinking a lapse in the bedroom component is a sign that the love is no longer strong.

Women and men do not see the same connection between love and sex. Women see the one as just one way of expressing the other. Men may see sex as an expression of their masculinity and the womans interest as an indication of her love for him.

When this issue gets confused in can lead to hurt, anger and stress on the relationship. That is when the communication needs to kick in and the both of you discuss, calmly, just what is going on in your minds.

A lot of things change as we age, both physically and with the complexity of our lives. These changes affect each partner differently and as tensions increase it takes patience and understanding to work them out.

This is perfectly normal.

RelationShip Advice?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 years, we both are 21 and Its better than its ever been but i feel like we do the same things over and over. I actually dont have a problem with that but i dont want him to get bored. The winter is here but i wanted to know some suggestions of things that we could do. Movies, games anything??? iDont really like going out too much the weather is realy bad here. Any suggestions i would realli appreciate..Thankx

Answer
Cooped up indoors during the winter can be a real challenge. Do you two play music and sing songs together? How about games? My lady and I do jigsaw puzzles – not the impossible ones, but several thousand piece puzzles that take days to do.
Practice just being together, being quiet. Talk a little, cuddle, just looking out a window at the world.
Do you do the stuff of life together? Like cooking?
Taking up serious personal/relationship growth study together can really fend off boredom. I strongly recommend “The Five Love Languages” and John Gottman’s “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work”.

Getting Relationship Advice With A Psychic Reading

Categories:  advice on relationships
Tags: , , , , ,
4753112784 dcd262263a m Getting Relationship Advice With A Psychic Reading

One of the foremost reasons why someone goes to a psychic is to obtain relationship advice. It is probably one of the top three topics why a person might want to visit a psychic for a reading. When looking into obtaining a psychic reading there are several questions that you should ask before settling on which psychic reader to approach.

These questions will help you to find a reader that is going to offer you the peace of mind and comfort that may be needed when using this very unique channel to obtain relationship advice. The first question is to find out how much experience the psychic has and how accurate they are. This can be done with just a small amount of research. Consider visiting a psychic that has already proven to be reliable by friends or family members, or at the very least is able to provide a decent list of satisfied customer testimonials.

Next, consider the medium that is being used. There are several different mediums that can be selected by a reader. These methods, or mediums, include tarot cards, runes, I-ching, tea leaves, and palm reading. Some methods have a greater aptitude for accuracy and detail than others. So when looking to obtain relationship advice from a psychic it is important to choose a medium such as tarot cards, which will provide you with a more detailed reading.

There are also psychic readers who make use of energy or even astrological charts in order to provide you with the relationship advice you desire. Astrology can show compatibility based on birth times, dates and locations and can prove to be a valuable resource when determining if you have a lifelong compatibility with someone.

No matter what medium or psychic you choose, it is a good idea to ensure that you are comfortable with the individual with whom you are working. You should be at ease, comfortable and feel as if the reader is someone you can trust, confide in, in some cases they may even feel as if you have known them all your life; this is certainly the type of feeling you should hope for when obtaining a reading.

The feeling of ease and openness is one of the ways to tell compatibility and show rapport between you and the psychic. This helps to provide a calm and relaxing environment that often lends itself to a more complete and accurate reading. This is one of the reasons why it is important to consider meeting with your potential psychic before having an actual reading. Many psychics are more than willing to take a few minutes to chat with you; some will even explain what they do in a little more detail to provide added reassurance.

Your relationship is one of the vital areas of your life. The condition of your relationship has an effect on every aspect of your life including work and social interactions. This is why it is important to obtain relationship advice from someone you can trust. Psychics can provide the advice you need to help keep your relationship running smoothly and provide you with insight into what areas may be causing issues with your relationship.

What is the Best Relationship Advice For Women Today

Categories:  advice on relationships
Tags: , , , ,
4768709094 4584c99903 m What is the Best Relationship Advice For Women Today

What is the best relationship advice for women today?  Courtship is one thing but having a real flesh and blood relationship with a man you like is quite another.  Right away, we realize that there is so much more to love than just the ideal partner.  A crush quickly changes after living in such close proximity to another person.  We either realize that we don’t love this person, or the love we thought we had grows even stronger.  That’s not to say that making a relationship last is easy!  It may be one of the most difficult things you ever accomplish in life.  That said, the end result of a happy marriage and family, will be well worth the effort.

When giving relationship advice for women, a counselor always starts the conversation in a positive light.  A relationship guru is always interested to know how you feel about a relationship and about your partner in general, before you get to specifics.  He or she can tell from the way you talk about your significant other.  Do you have many fond memories to share?  Is your relationship challenged by obstacles or is there a “problem” that cannot be solved?

The best relationship advice for women is to master the art of communication.  Communication between the sexes means everything in courtship.  If a man or woman cannot communicate their true feelings in an appealing way, the attraction level suffers.  When you progress to the point of a relationship, communication is still key—but it is a different kind of communication.  Now you should be less focused on appearances and prolonging romantic feelings, and more focused on making each other happy, and accomplishing your family goals together.

When one or both partners start to clam up friction develops.  Friction in a relationship can very easily turn into hostility.  As you know, there is only so much hostility that can tolerated in a relationship before someone heads for the door.  What are some tidbits of relationship advice for women?

Try discussing disagreements with your spouse in a calm spirit, hours after your frustration has peaked.  Everyone says that women are the emotional species, but men can become emotional too.  When we are angry, we tend say things that we regret.  This escalates this situation, and causes both partners to go into a defensive stance.

At the same time, both you and your man should be willing to compromise in a relationship.  A partnership is a union between two people and you are sharing each others lives, not just dating.  If you want your relationship to be saved, then talk to a relationship counselor.  It’s never too late to save something precious to your heart.

Anna Karimo is a dating guru providing you a helping hand in improving your dating skills and guiding you with her immense knowledge and experience in dating services.

Does anyone have any suggestions for very active and helpful relationship advice forums?

The ones I have found coming up in yahoo searches are very non active. Just looking to see if anyone has any suggestions. I like to give and receive advice and also a forum with an active general discussion or off topic area for community banter would be nice. In the past I have found some of the best forums by word of mouth, rarely do the best ones come up in yahoo searches.

Everyone Should Follow Some Love and Relationship Advice

Categories:  advice on relationships
Tags: , , , , , ,
4741836550 aedd0d4795 m Everyone Should Follow Some Love and Relationship Advice

There are tons of ways to approach love and relationship advice, and often the people closest to you give you the most biased advice you could get. To them you could do no wrong. While it’s great to get boosted up by your loved ones in bad times, chances are they’re just giving you the advice you want to hear and not the advice that you actually need. Sometimes you need to hear the things about yourself and the way you’re doing things that aren’t very positive.

Love is a double-edged sword, it can take you over could nine and drag you down to what feels like hell in the same day. When you’re not only in love, but in a relationship, both the negative and positive emotions you both have are intensified at least tri-fold. Everyone loves to be in love, but no one loves the downfalls that come with being in love. And it’s hard to take when things don’t exactly work out the way you expected them to.

The best love and relationship advice I, or anyone else can give you, is:

1.Trust your own judgment. If things don’t feel right, they probably aren’t. Also, if you are fighting all the time, figure out the real reasons and decide if they are relationship-breaking or not.

2.Know when you’re doing something wrong. Both sides in a relationship can be doing something wrong, but it is not your partner’s responsibility to make sure you know when you’re the one in the wrong. Learn to look at the situation fairly.

3.Try not to get so worked up in yourself that you forget your partner has wants and needs too. Both men and women are guilty of this, and it brings the end to relationships all the time.

4.Be open and honest with one another. Communication is a big part of keeping a lasting relationship and if neither one of you will open up and let the other one know what’s going on, you’re never going to get anywhere emotionally that either one or both of you want to get.

5.Even if you know you’re better at something than your partner, don’t rub it in. Even if you’re leagues better. Putting down your lover can make them feel rejected, insulted, and in many cases offended. Keep your bragging or belittling in your head.

Love is a complicated game we play, and while there are no exact rules there are some things that affect almost everybody in the same ways. If everyone would actually listen to the love and relationship advice they get, the lovers and spouses of the world would be much better for it. If you want a happy relationship, there is no reason for you to let the responsibility of effort lie on the shoulders of your partner.

4752470081 40799fb9bc m Solid Dating Relationships Advice That Anyone Can Take

Dating relationships have a whole different set of problems and advice than full blown relationships do. Dating is not a commitment, first off, meaning that while you are “together”, you are not held to each other in the same way people in relationships are. It’s much easier to break off a dating relationship than it is a regular relationship as well. That being said, dating relationships are fun and are definitely an exciting part of life. Nothing makes you feel young and wonderful like a good date or two. So why does someone need dating relationships advice?

Dating relationships, while not full of commitment and huge amounts of drama, can be just a difficult as regular relationships to keep up. Dating is a game in and off itself. If you play it wrong, you’re likely to be left alone. If you play it right, you could get yourself a long lasting and loving relationship that you’ll never want to let go.

When dating, don’t give up all your secrets and problems at once. A lot of people will just spill every bean in the bag if they really like someone, but hold off that stuff. You’re trying to get the person to like you first, and find out the bad stuff later. Just focus on having fun. Your goal is to impress them, no matter how much you or any dating book wants to deny that. You’re showing off your best to get them to like you, there is no shame in that.

Next, don’t be too forward. Some people are very blunt, while others prefer to be a little more coy. Don’t just blurt out what you mean, especially if you don’t know the person well. Bounce around the bad things, but still be honest as much as possible. You don’t want to be lied to and neither does your date, it’s a pretty simple concept. You may be trying to get them to like you, but if you’re too different then there’s not much point to it.

Absolutely do not bring up past relationships on your first few dates. This is a bit of dating relationships advice that cannot be stressed enough. The past is the past and the future is the future. Bringing up your past relationships, in a way, brings the past to the present and can create problems between the two of you in the future. Bringing up past lovers on the first few dates can make your date feel like they are only there to take the place of this person for a time, but can’t do it in your heart. And in many cases, this is how it is, you just don’t realize it. Tread lightly with speaking of past relationships.

If you play your cards right and follow this dating relationships advice, you could have yourself a new relationship with relative ease. You may have done the things listed about before, but try not to do it in the future. The difference it can make is huge.
