A Few Tips For Coping With Breakup Pain

Breakup pain is one of the worst kinds of pain you can experience…it goes beyond a physical level and seems to hurt your very soul. It’s a weird thing to say, but it’s actually true that sometimes during a breakup food can even lose its flavor! The saddest thing is that people seem to feel trapped into their pain, unable to rise above and overcome it…and yet it’s totally possible to do just that!

Dealing with the pain of a breakup doesn’t have to mean sleeping like a coma victim to avoid being awake and miserable. If you can develop the right mindset, and “distract” yourself with enough constructive activities, you can overcome your unhappiness with a lot less trouble. I’m not saying such a thing could ever be really easy, but if you go about it the right way it can be a whole lot easier than living most of your life in a state of utter misery.

So here are a few things you can do to start on your path to getting over the pain:

Open up the blinds and let some light in! Wallowing in the dark is just going to feed your negative thought processes and make your life a lot worse. It’s fairly well-supported that having a constantly negative mindset causes things not to go your way. If you think miserable, you’ll be miserable…and one good way to bring more emotional sunshine into your life is to let some real stuff in! Training yourself to think positively is a lot easier when your environment is more positive.

Go out with some friends. Real friends will support you and try their best to help you get on your feet again. It may feel safer to hide inside your apartment and avoid letting your vulnerable state give people opportunities to take advantage of you…but the truth is that it’s a lot more healthy to get out there and make yourself have a good time. Surround yourself with people who care about you, and you’ll find that the healing process goes a lot better than you thought it would.

Cut off contact with your ex, even if you intend on pursuing a reunion with him or her. Right after a breakup, the best thing for both people is to have a break from each other. After something like that, both of you need some time and space to take a few deep breaths and get some things worked out for yourselves. You don’t want to wait too long to get your act together though, or else you run the risk of your ex truly getting over you and moving on…but if that happens you may find it’s a good idea for you to do the same. There are billions of people in the world, more than just one of them is going to be able to make you happy.

These are just three tips, but they’re pretty important and useful ways to deal with your breakup pain in a healthy way that ends with you coming out of the breakup as a stronger person. There are other things you can do, but I’m not the one to tell you everything you need to know. If you’re interested in more information and free tips, take a look at the site below.

How do I get over a breakup asap?

My gf of almost 2 years I’m 26 she’s 22 just decided she was no longer in love with me and wanted to be single. She obviously has moved on and decided to tell me in a text. How do I when I’m so hurt?

Answer
First, if you are saving that text message, get rid of it. It’ll eat you up if you don’t.

If she doesn’t have the nerve to tell you face to face, she is either extremely immature for her age, or there is something more she is not telling you.

You need to find somebody close to talk to, that will listen. Tell them all your feelings, cry if you need to. Get it all out.

Then, find some strange (not a new girlfriend.) You need a night of no strings attached lovin’. It’ll give you a much needed ego boost and help get your mind off of what she might be doing.

If you prefer not to get laid this soon, go out with your friends. Try to make plans for a guys night of playing cards, drinking, shooting pool, whatever you and your friends enjoy. The less time you spend alone the easier it’ll be.

This may also be the time to pursue your goals. Nothing motivates better than a major life change!

Don’t call or text her. If you would happen to run into her on the street be pleasant but keep the conversation small. Don’t discuss your feelings about what happened and do not volunteer any information about your personal life. She doesn’t deserve that information.

But unfortunately, the bottom line is that the hurt will have to go away in time. These are just suggestions from my personal experience that might make it a little more bearable.
